Nell grew up in Ann Arbor, left for Chicago at 22 to work in a bookstore and came home at 31 with a loan from her aunt and a truck full of shelving.
She buys the new books, plans the events and still does the Sunday opening shift. Ask her for a book with a good first line, a hard-to-find cookbook or a gift for someone who says they don’t read.
Away from the shop, Nell grows tomatoes badly and reads three books at once.
