Parking and getting here
There’s free two-hour street parking right on Lindenwood Lane, and a free lot behind the building after 5 pm (the entrance is off the alley). Two accessible spaces are at the front door.
The Route 4 bus stops at the corner, and there are bike racks beside the door. If you’re coming from the university, it’s a ten-minute walk down the hill.

Accessibility and comfort
Getting in and around
The front entrance is step-free with an automatic door button, and the shop is on one level except for the used-book room, which has a ramp. Aisles are at least 36 inches wide. The counter has a lowered section, and there’s seating in the front window and in the children’s corner.
The restroom is single-user with grab bars and room to turn a wheelchair. Service animals are always welcome, and so are well-behaved leashed dogs.
Quiet hour
Every Sunday from 11 to noon, the music is off, the lights are lowered and we don’t run events. It’s a good time to come if crowds or noise are hard for you.
We’ll come to you
If you can’t get to the shop, call us. We’ll find the book, put it on the counter or bring it out to your car, and we deliver within Ann Arbor on Fridays for $5.
Allergies
Pickle lives in the front window and never goes on the shop floor. If you’re allergic to cats, tell us and we’ll make sure she stays in the window.
